21% More Passenger Traffic in the First Quarter of 2019

Between January and March of this year, three international airports of Georgia served 1,014,732 passengers, 21% more compared to the same period of last year.
In terms of each airport, Kutaisi International Airport is leading with a 101% increase in passenger numbers, followed by Batumi (41%) and Tbilisi (11%).
Domestic airports also saw an increase in the last months. For instance, Svaneti’s Queen Tamar Airport served 421 passengers in March only, making it a 60% increase compared to last year.
According to other statistics provided by the Georgian National Tourism Administration, the month of March brought 328,486 tourists, mainly from Switzerland, Israel, China, Kazakhstan, and Saudi Arabia.
