ABTA names Georgia as one of the best destinations for 2020
ABTA, a British association of travel agents and tour operators, has named Georgia among 12 best destinations to travel in 2020. Georgia made in the list along with the Netherlands, Morocco, Namibia, USA, Basilicata, South Korea, Spain, Austria, Singapore, Uruguay, and Grenada.
Apart from reveling these destinations, ABTA’s report, which is based on consumer insights and market information, also stated the essential travel trends that the world can expect in the next year and beyond. The research shows that consumer sentiment is still positive in holiday-taking.
“With so many political uncertainties ahead, such as the shape of the new government and the outcome of the Brexit process, it is difficult to predict with certainty what 2020 will bring – however, we do know that travel is still a spending priority for the year ahead,” stated Mark Tanzer, ABTA’s chief executive.
The report notes that the demand for slow travel has increased, i.e., holidaymakers are choosing to spend more time in one destination. Additionally, sustainability is believed to be a massive focus among travelers in the upcoming years.
In terms of the continent, Europe still is at the top of the list where people want and plan to travel in the next 12 months.
