February saw an increase in the number of tourists visiting Georgia

According to the Georgian National Tourism Administration (GNTA), 247,705 tourists came to Georgia in February this year, which is an increase of 5.1% year-on-year. Most visitors came from Israel (+198.4%), followed by China (+52%) and Saudi Arabia (+48.6%). As for the European Union, citizens of Latvia, Slovakia, and Poland are among the top three visitors, followed by Lithuania, Czechia, and Italy.
GNTA also stated that in January this year, the revenue amounted to $165.5 million, which is $8 million more compared to January 2018. In terms of the whole revenue of last year, it amounted to $3.2 billion, $498 million more than of the previous year.
