Georgia’s protected areas had 113,251 visitors in the first quarter of the year

In January-April of this year, the number of visitors to Georgia’s protected areas increased by 13% compared to the statistics of the same period last year. Out of 113,251 people, 54% are Georgians and the rest foreigners.

The most visited protected areas and parks are: Prometheus Cave, National Park of Tbilisi, Martvili Canyon, National Park of Kazbegi, and Mtirala National park. Most of the visitors to those national parks come from Poland, Germany, India, Israel, and Russia. It should be noted that, from May, tickets to the national parks can be purchased online.
