Holiday Inn hotel opens in Telavi
Telavi, the central town of Georgia’s eastern region of Kakheti, is now home to another international hotel - Holiday Inn. This 85-room hotel is the first of such standards in Telavi, costing around 15 million GEL investment.
According to Natia Turnava, the Economy Minister, the main focus of the government is to create new jobs, especially in regions. And Holiday Inn employees 65 people since the opening day.
The hotel features an open lobby bar with screens and board games, sauna, open-air swimming pool with a panoramic view of the city, and steam bath to name just a few. Additionally, the hotel has Georgian and European restaurants on the first and fifth floors, respectfully. There’s a bar with a view of Alazani valley and the Caucasus mountains.
The project was carried out by the Hotel Industry Incentive by Enterprise Georgia, which focuses on promoting the hospitality business in the country, creating jobs, attracting tourists, and developing the economy of Georgia.
As noted by the Minister, more than 530 hotels and enterprises were opened, creating more than 18,000 new jobs within the Hotel Industry Incentive by Enterprise Georgia.
