Kutaisi Airport rates as 2nd in Europe in an increase of passenger flow
Kutaisi International Airport was listed as second in Europe in 2019 in terms of having the highest rise in passenger flow among other European airports who welcomes less than 5 million passengers per year, stated a report from Airports Council International Europe (ACI Europe).
Ohrid airport in Macedonia ranked as number one with 72.1% growth, while Kutaisi airport outranked Zadar in Croatia (32.5%), Bucharest in Romania (25.8%), and Turku in Finland (22.6%) airports.
In 2019, Kutaisi airport served 873,907 passengers in total. In December, the airport was the last in the list with 44.6% after Ohrid, Zakynthos Island in Greece, Dubrovnik in Croatia and Nis in Serbia.
In 2018, Kutaisi airport ranked as the first among European airports welcoming up to 5 million passengers.
