Arrival in Tbilisi International Airport. Meeting with the driver and transfer to the hotel

Overnight in Tbilisi 

After breakfast, we visit the ancient capital– Mtskheta and see its historical sites: Jvari monastery (6th century) and Svetitskhoveli cathedral (11th century). Both are UNESCO World Heritage sites. 

Then we drive north towards the Northern Caucasus along the well-known Georgian Military Road. On the way we visit Ananuri fortress – a 17th century complex. And we will tell you about secrets and legends about the fortress Ananuri. 

On our way to Gudauri we will see a picturesque Friendship arch, which is one of the most amazing and wonderful view of this area. An exciting drive from Gudauri along the Terek River will take us to Staphantsminda – the main town in the region. 

From there , drive with 4 WD vehicles to Gergeti Trinity church (Optional - 11 USD Per Person) located at 2170m.  While good weather you can see one of the highest glaciers in the Caucasus – the mountain Kazbegi (5047m). Drive back to Tbilisi. 

Overnight in Tbilisi 

Today we shall visit Kakheti Region of Georgia, the cradle of Georgian wine. Beautiful road to Kakheti lies through Gombori pass. Our first stop will be in Bodbe convent, which according to the legend is a burial place of St. Nino, who converted Georgia to Christianity in the 4th century. According to Tsar Alexader III of Russia decree, since 1889 Bodbe complex functions as a nunnery. Continue to Sighnaghi, the city of love and the Royal Town, one of the crossroads of the Great Silk Road surrounded by defensive walls with 23 towers. Continue our tour to unique wine cellar Khareba, located in the tunnel carved out of the rock. Originally built for military purposes, today the tunnel is used to store Khareba’s finest wines. Wine tour and wine tasting (Optional - 17 USD Per Person ). Drive back to Tbilisi for the overnight. 

Our guide and driver will meet you at your hotel for a sightseeing tour in Tbilisi. Start at Holy Trinity cathedral, one of the largest orthodox cathedrals in the world. Continue to Metekhi church and the monument to Vakhtang Gorgasali, the legendary founder of Tbilisi. Take cable car to Narikala Fortress to enjoy breathtaking panoramic view of the city. Walk down to the district of Sulphur bath houses passing by the only mosque in Tbilisi. Stroll through the Sharden area full of narrow streets with cozy cafés, wine tasting bars, souvenir shops, and breathe in the living past. Visit Sioni Cathedral, Anchiskhati Basilica, and the clock tower of famous Rezo Gabriadze Theatre. Cross the Bridge of Peace leading to Rike Park and head to Tbilisi Flea Market.
